If you will go back and read the problem in the book, Dr. Toogood is asking to examine the convergence behavior. This model will converge, as I got it too, but you will have some warnings in the run summary file about singularities. I think this is a classroom example to get one to think about how a connecting rod should be designed. I've attached the model and a fringe plot.
