after using CREO 3 Simulate M050 for a project recently I would have to say that the NEW Results window is still BETA -
there are some nice new features but a lot of bugs ... some of this might be from using WIn10
some of the many issues
1. reordering results windows doesnt always work
2. axis alterations on graphs dont stick on refresh, infact almost any alternation to the default layout doesnt stick when the windows are refreshed.
3. there are issues with rotating 3D views - some window views still rotate even after the window is no longer selected
4. you can click the high and low values of legends and edit them - good idea - but the route to have them accepted is crazy
5. custom legend color pallets dont stick
Simulate has major problems with dialog box selections not sticking on next use ... this needs serious review and fixing as it creates enormous frustration
some other frustrations ....
6. there is still no fix for getting graphs along edges or curves to work in templates
7. selecting edges for curves for graphs is still majorly deficient - cant seem to chain anything - doent follow PTC standard selection methods
8. the preselection highlite in point 7 is just plain daft -why cant it filter out edges that are unusable
9. deselecting edges is buggy
i believe PTC is short changing maintenance customers with what can only be described as sloppy programming
- does any human actually test the work flow with each relaease or is it all done in software?
- there is major interface variability between different modules even on new releases
- why are they spending money on IOT when there are rafts of issues in existing software needing fixing?
