Re: Bike frame, FEA, Creo 2.0
If you're after frame stress then I would build it with rigid shock absorbers. To be honest, unless you have a good reason I would analyse just the frame component, applying calculated loads at all the...

Hallo Denis, thank you. You mean that if the light is yellow the calculations could be imprecise? if yes, therefore that would be a (very) bad surprise....even worse if it could not be changed so...

Yes Win7 handles the architecture variable a little differently. Two options that i can think of:1. Find the batch file that starts your Motion UI. In it, there will be statements like if...

Did you mesh with shells or with solid elements? Have you tried to model a rotating contact like this in a smaller model, to see if it works?

Thanks for the reply Im using both types, could that be a problem? Having mixed mesh?Yes, I have tried that and the results seemed OK, I tried a lever on a pin with force on one side and spring on the...

Thank you for your reply Jonathan I am after all the stressesI have calculated the parts alone many times using inertia relief during "development phase"Its for my master thesis, basically to spare...

Mixed mesh is not a problem, as long as it is set up properly. To expedite your studies, I would recomend running quick checks until you get the model to behave properly, then run a convergence analysis.

Hello, I want to do a FEM analysis for a school project. So i downloaded PTC Creo student version which contains PTC creo simulate. But when i open a part it says i still need to get the requiered creo...

Quick Check isn’t a convergence method since the model is run only for a single fixed (low) polynomial order (shown below p3-p3). The stress results should never be trusted. What a Quick Check is...

I managed to get results with solids onlyI used rigid link for the shock pins. Bottom bracket and head tube are fixed. Which isnt right as the bottom tube takes almost no load. Rear axis takes...

You might want to try posting this question under Academic > Schools Program (see below image). If you use Creo Simulate Lite, you don't need an additional license, but I don't know which version...

As far as I know you can use Inertia Relief always. All it does is balance out the forces on your model with some inertia spread over the whole model. That way you can for instance apply only loads and...

I mean when the analysis is running it's choosing a time step to measure a measure like position for example. I think Mechanisms uses a fourth order Runge-Kutta to solve the equations of motion of...

Milos,They are using h-elements, and yes, they have problems using a plethora of tets. Creo Simulate uses the p-element, a more advanced smarter element. I've attached a memo from Dr. Ken Short to...
