Re: Prescribed temperate and heat load
Prescribed temp is what is sounds like: keep temp fixed at X degrees. Typically something that is cooled by water at a given temp. A heat load has the unit Watt's i.e. a measure of the heating power....
View ArticleCan you help me with a problem about a Analysis Simulation in Creo Parametric?
Dear partners, I am working in a graduation project with PTC Creo Parametric, it is about a machine for make torsion springs, the shape of these is like a Z, I would like to know if there is any...

Hi Roger, thanks for the solution, it works. I am not storing results in workspace but like you, in a local folder. PTC Technical support just confirmed to me that the problem it's not related to the...

While writing this script I came across a bug in the software. Some elements, it seems beams, generate a 7x6 matrix with stress results for each h-node. The support documentation suggests that this...

What does it mean when I get the error: "Cannot process highlighted contacting surfaces. Source:Geometry" during an AutoGEM Mesh. Attached is a picture showing the error and the surfaces involved. I...

Whenever you're dealing with a lot of components for FEA (especially contact), start with a small assembly for meshing, then keep adding to the assembly. I would recommend going back to Parametric and...

Attached is my most recent diagnostic. I am working on getting the tolerances closer but I do not know what it means about: curves having load but not part of any element, rotational components, and...

Can I do that by just selecting the parts I want to mesh as "Master Reps" and then start adding from there? I usually don't run simulations on assemblies so I have to relearn every time I do this.

I am doing as you suggested Steven and I am able to correct the errors or at least make them "better". It is slow going but it is getting me somewhere. Thanks. I still do not know what most of these...

Hi Damian, The first thing I noticed is this is a huge model in terms of p-elements. You've got more than 197K elements, and more than 66K nodes. You have a load on a curve that is not associated...

This is a full version of creo simulate. I am trying to get a weight rating for the structure because we have no documentation on it where I work and the prints that show how it is built are horrible....
View ArticleRe: Contact surface area error
Damian, When you zip the assembly, you have to include all the subcomponents. It may be better to build this with the beam element tool, if you're only trying to get the weight rating for the structure.

Here is everything minus the text files I have been saving for diagnostics.

Damian, This is an extremely large model for FEA. Do you think you'll have the RAM and disk space to run this? Yes, I downloaded it.

You could constrain the mid point of the beam to constrain movement away from symmetry-plane.Or if the analysis is symmetric you could even chop off half and add symmetry constraints.
