Mats, Here's a common problem we've seen over many years when trying to analyze fasteners going through two tubes (image below). The outer tube rotates around the inner tube. This problem would not...

In your specific case, you could: - in the outside (bolt head), connect the upper end point of the beam with the only edge, since bolt head <-> pipe contact in this side is ideally (i.e....

Creo 3.0 added Account for Stiffness in the preload, so the user only has to make one intervention instead of two, as in Creo 2.0.

Yes, I think this would be a suitable case to model beam elements+links and a temperature load.

We have Cetol but wanted to know if there is any advantages or loss of functionality to going to PTC Creo Tolerance Analysis Extension?
View ArticleRe: Cetol 6 Sigma vs PTC Creo Tolerance Analysis Extension
I believe Creo tolerance analysis ext. is only 1 D. The full CE-tol can analyze the impact of geometric variations in 3D.
View ArticleRe: Cetol 6 Sigma vs PTC Creo Tolerance Analysis Extension
Yes - Mats is correct, Creo TAX is only 1-dimensional and CeTOL is 3D. Creo TAX is written by the same poeple who created CeTOL, so the underlying calculations are very similar. Post-processing is...

Did you try the suggestion Mechanica / Simulate gave you when you got this error? If you run a model analysis it will show you which degree of freedom you are missing.

I'm not sure I understand your problem entirely but I would typically do this in mechanism design and not in BMX. But I think it should work in BMX aswell. From your description I think it is not...
