Re: Displacement is way too high
Lucas, As shown below, the 1g gavity load acting through the centroid of the hook doesn't have an impact in the radii. The hook weighs about 29.24 lb. What this analysis doesn't show is the contact...

Denis, il faut noter que l'analyse dans ton document est une analyse de flambage linéaire. L'analyse dans le liens de Steven, est une analyse non-lineaire. Le charge de flambage dans une analyse...

Thank you for reply.I concludetherefore that is impossible to consider a mass constrained to a beam at a distance from it without connecting with another beam idealization.

Bonjour MatsMerci pour votre réponse.Effectivement il serait plus intéressant d'avoir ce fichier sûrement plus récent que celui de l'exemple qui doit être d'avant 1998.Cordialement.Denis...

Hi all, Can anyone assist with this 'Element Incompatibility' Issue? I have inherited a model featuring fairly complex extruded sections of a frame. I have checked geometries, interfaces and...

So I was able get my result by using the trace curve method to check about 60 points and then run a spline though the tangent of each of them. I want to try your method, but I can't get around the fact...

Giulio, I have not investigated your model thoroughly, but I see a few possible causes. In the first model, "prova" there does not seem to be any forces or prescribed displacements. As far as I can...

In the first assembly I'd tried to rotate the drum in two way:1. imposing the rotation with constrain rotation2. applying a little pression (that's always normal to the surface, even during the...
View ArticleRe: Pin and rotation in mechanica/Simulate
If you use the "large deformation" plus a load, it works. But there is a thing that I don't understand: since you don't impose a displacement (in this case an angular one) but only a load, the...

Hi Richard, have you tried to look at the "Geometry check" tool?Usually are too many little surfaces left by successive cuts that generate them. Can you attach the file?

My remedy for these type of issues is to cut away a tiny bit of material around the problem area, such that it will not impact the results.

Are you working in an assembly?Try assigning the material in Simulate. Click on the assign material icon in the ribbon and see if this works. Hope this helps,Don Anderson
